Researchers from all over the world have argued again and again that food waste is a really big issue and growing problem. Food distributors, restaurants and supermarkets should all bear some responsibility. A recent report from the USA Food and Agriculture institution sated that decreasing Food Waste by around a quarter would mean there was enough food stock to feed global population. Food Waste How to Do

Some researchers believed that data analysis can help farmers run their farms more efficiently and sustainably. Take VitalFields as an example, the enterprise has already cooperated with hundreds of farmers in Poland and Germany monthly. VitalFields, which has operations in Germany and Poland has developed a software-based system for recording food in the field. One more example could be BT9, a technology company  which has operations across EU and Africa. BT9 uses wireless sensors to monitor the storage conditions of perishable food. Alerts will be sent to farmers if data went wrong. Actually, a great number of food is wasted during the transit from the field to supermarkets and restaurants. However, some government bodies around the world still claimed that food waste is still on the rise. It seems that technology could prove key to addressing the problem, ultimately success will come down to how much we are willing to change the way we live. Poor temperature throughout the cold storage supply chain turns to be a huge issue for the food industry.
